Brexit and Older People - a meeting in london to have informed discussion on Brexit and what older people want after Brexit.
This meeting, jointly organised by Positive Ageing in London and Age Platform Europe (UK), is first of a planned series of discussions to ask older people (50+) what they want from a post Brexit UK, so that they can start to have their voice heard during the Brexit negotiations.
There will be a panel of expert speakers, who will outline the current rights and laws and initiatives that apply to UK older citizens at present and may or may not be transferred to UK laws, rights and policies in the future, as well as raising issues of concern for older people in or out of Brexit, including pensions, health and social care, employment rights etc.
Wise Age would like people to apply for the following jobs which are new vacancies arising as part of delivering their our support programmes for over 50s. The programmes are funded by DWP Flexible Support Fund.
Admin officer 1- 3 days / week @ £120 per day
Project Co-ordination and Client advisor 2.5 days / week @£140per day
Employer engagement / Job brokers 2- 4 day per week @ £140 per day.

The Senior International Health Association invited Wise Age to address the First International Congress on Adherence to Therapy. Together with other campaigning groups across Europe we went to Rimini for the conference on 18th - 20th November. The event was primarily for health professionals, but age organisations from across Europe were also invited to give their perspectives.
